While Llynda's career has followed what might be called the usual path for performers in Australia (where she has appeared in major concert halls, in variety shows on television, in circuses, at art festivals, corporate events and club venues), she has also been in demand to work the many cruise liners that frequent our shores; ships such as The Australis, The Fairstar, Turkmania, Mikaell Lermentov, Princess Marsuri, Royal Viking Sea and Royal Viking Sky.
Her credits also include commercials released for television and cinema in Australia and New Zealand.
However, Llynda's talents have not been confined to Australia. She has also performed in England, at the Park Hall Entertainment Centre, so successfully, in fact, that she was given an extended season.
Other international performances include shows for the peace keeping forces in the Sinai, and for troops in New Guinea, Singapore, Butterworth and Penang. In 1999, Llynda performed in India at the Park Sheraton Hotel in Chennai and the Windsor Manor in Bangalore.
In 1986, backing her talents, Llynda went to New York and entered the US National Juggling Competition. From a field of 800 aspiring jugglers from all over the world, Llynda made it to the final 20 competitors, eventually filling 7th place. This made Llynda one of the world's top 10 jugglers. A feat made even more impressive by the fact that she was the only woman competitor.
Given the abovementioned credits, it would have been easy for Llynda to have rested on her laurels. However, she has not confined her performing skills to juggling. She has written and produced her own show ("You Can Do It Too!") which in 1997, 1999 and 2001 won for her a highly sought after "Frater Award" from the NSW Department of Education.
In 2002, Llynda launched 'Street Sense', a performance for primary school children. The show was available under contract to the Roads and Traffic Authority of NSW for much of 2003, and in November 2003 Llynda received the NSW Department of Education and Training's "Frater Award for Excellence".
Further illustrating her versatility, she appears in revue style shows performing, along with her juggling, a wide range of vocal material, including specially adapted numbers from the musical stage. Booking Llynda Nairn ensures getting an experienced, well-rounded performer.
Along with performing Llynda is a Life Member of the Australian Entertainment Industry "MO" Awards, and a member of the Australian Association for Humane Research.
